HOW TO GET to a cachete
OPTION 1
Fly into LIR Liberia airport(Daniel Oduber), located on the Nicoya Peninsula (Our preference).
Once in Liberia, there are 3 options to make the rest of the trip;
1-Rent a car and make the 4 hour drive (if you prefer not to drive immediately after landing, we can suggest a night in Playa Del Coco which is only 25 minutes from the airport -ask if you need suggestions)
Our preferred rental agency is Alamo (see below for more info on renting a car)
2-Take a 30 min regional flight to Cobano with Sansa Airlines (approx. cost $140 USD per person) and from there it is a 15 min drive to our property (taxis are available there, as well Sansa offer a shuttle service for $20).

3-Hire a private shuttle, the cost is approx. $260 USD to take you from Liberia airport to us.

If you are more than 2 people travelling together, the shuttle or rental car are the most economical.
Option 2
Fly into SJO San Jose airport.
From there you have the same options as from Liberia.
1-rent a car, it is about a +-5 hour drive (including a ferry from the main land across to the peninsula)
2- Take a regional flight with Sansa Airlines to Cobano airport.
3 -Hire a shuttle service
RENTAL CAR OR QUAD
It is essential to have one of the two to get around while here.
We can coordinate if you wish to have a Quad delivered to our property or Cobano airport (daily rates are anywhere from $60-$80 USD depending on size of Quad and season).
There is also a Quad rental shop right in Cabuya, only 300M from us (Exitos Racing Cabuya). Stop by there to get one (daily or weekly)
If you wish to rent a car, we recommend ALAMO.

You can pick up directly at the airport in Liberia, or there is an office in Malpais which is about 15 mins from us. (NOTE Costa Rica has some mandatory rental car insurance, but you can save on the CDW Collision Damage insurance IF you contact your insurance company and get a certificate proving your coverage in Costa Rica.)
Without this document they will require you to take their CDW insurance also which can be very pricey. Some rental agencies will not even allow you to use your own, Alamo do permit you to with proper proof of insurance (see their website for more information).
