We are about 500m back from the ocean, the closest spot to us is Playa Macaw, although not the best for swimming, it has beautiful sunrises and is known to be a locals surfing spot.
The closest beach for swimming is Playa Rocas or Playa Manchas, about a 10 minute drive from us on the route to Montezuma. Both are quiet and remote beaches. Great for having a picnic, pack a lunch, or bring along our mini hibachi to fire up the grill on the beach.
If you are looking for a beach with more action, restaurants and chair rentals, then we suggest heading to Santa Teresa, a busy, growing town, filled with restaurants, shops, miles of beach and the most beautiful sunsets.
Chairs can be rented at Carmen Beach.
If you want a little luxury, head to Banana Beach club for their ocean front chairs, drinks and food.
If you want to lounge by a pool, less than 5 mins drive from us is Calala Lodge, you can use their pool for a small fee, as well as enjoy food and drinks at their oceanfront restaurant.
